I love garage sales but usually stay away from them, I already have a lot of stuff! But yesterday on the way into the cottage I spotted a sale going on and stopped. I've stopped last year at the same spot and found some wonderful items including a lovely old spindle high chair. Getting back to yesterdays find, I spotted this teapot as soon as I walked into the garage. Wow! I picked it up immediately looked at the price $8.00 and said I'll take it. I checked on the internet I found it was made by Roseville Pottery in 1945 and is called Freesia Blue. I love the wonderful flowing lines, the colour and the flowers. Every time I look at it am so pleased that it now lives with me.
Roseville pottery is always a nice addition.
ReplyDeleteThis was a bargain!
ReplyDeleteAnd it is very handsome indeed.
this is absolutely gorgeous and might be worth a couple hundred dollars, highly collectable!
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful find, my mom had a few pieces and now my sis has them. This is a lovely shape.
ReplyDeletedear oh dear, my comment vanished AGAIN. I said that you and I would have a wonderful time going around garage sales and flea markets. Love the tea pot too, it looks dainty and yet strong. I used to love Wedgwood and collect it. Now I have given it all away.
